Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi is confident of recovering from his side strain injury well before the One-Day and T20 series against England.
"I still have that side strain so when I get back to Karachi I will start rehabilitation and resume training to be prepared for the limited overs matches in England in September," he claimed.
Afridi who made a surprise retirement announcement after a 150 run defeat against Australia in the first Test at Lords said he has no intentions of retiring from the shorter format of the game.
"No I will return to Karachi and start preparing for the one-dayers and T20 matches in England, I am looking forward to that series. My ambition is to see that we do well in the World Cup which is a mega event for our people as well," Afridi told a TV Channel in Dubai.
He had earlier praised the young Pakistan side for their commendable performance in the second Test match at Headingley.
