Left-arm pacer Zaheer Khan is likely to make a return in the Indian team for the triangular series in Sri Lanka involving India, New Zealand and the hosts.
Following his rehabilitation programme in Johannesburg, Zaheer is back in the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and according to the NCA sources, the pacer is available for selection according to espnstar report.
Meanwhile opening batsmen, Gautam Gambhir is likely to be rested for the shorter format of the game. Sources in the selection committee revealed that the selectors thought the left-hander needed some rest to heal his injured right knee.
Gambhir will however feature in the final Test match against Sri Lanka.
