Sehwag puts India on drivers seat

Colombo: A double strike from Virender Sehwag puts India on drivers seat as hosts reached 45/2 at stumps, leading by 34 runs. Earlier Sehwag hit a century as India were bowled out for 436

India take a slender 11 run lead after an impressive knock from Sehwag (109) and Raina (62). With a sizzling knock from tailenders Mithun(46) and Mishra (40) India has crossed Sri Lanka's 425 and bowled out for 436 in the first innings.

Abhimanyu Mithun was unbeaten on 12 as India were reduced to 350 for seven in 82 overs, still trailing Sri Lanka by 75 runs.

VVS Laxman (56 from 97 balls) and Suresh Raina (62 from 111 balls) hit half-centuries before they were dismissed in quick succession.
