Trott, Broad keep Pakistan at bay

Jonathan Trott and Stuart Broad lead a superb fightback for the English side after a dreadful start in the start of day 2 to put the Pakistan bowlers at bay at Lords.

Trott scored a magnificent century(149*) which was followed by Broad's maiden Test century(125*). The duo are on a verge of setting a record partnership for the eight wicket as they now stand 244 unbeaten run stand to put the England side in the forefront after a dismal start earlier in the day.

Mohammad Aamer had earlier swept England's number four, five and six batsmen for a duck as England were on the verge of major collapse until Trott coming in at No 3 and Broad offered firm resistance and frustrated the Pakistan fielding team.

Aamer has picked up six wickets in the innings so far.

England finished at 346/7 at stumps at day 2.
