'Freddie' Flintoff to retire

England All-rounder Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff is reportedly set to announce his retirement from Test Cricket after a long battle with his knee injury.

According to the telegraph.co.uk website, the 32-year-old has been told he needs another major operation on his right knee if he is to have any chance of playing cricket again. But instead, Freddie has opted for retirement and he had plans of starting a new career as a Television presenter rather than another lengthy rehabilitation.

He is yet to make a formal announcement but according to the website, he is set to make the announcement today.

He has not been part of the England Test team since the Oval Test against Australia last August when he helped England to regain the Ashes.
