Port Elizabeth: Chennai Super Kings will be looking to follow the footsteps of South Australia Redbacks and book their place in the semi-finals in Group A when they face against Victorian Busrangers at Port Elizabeth.
The team from Chennai have had fairly comfortable wins against Wayamba and Central Stags in the first two matches, but Victorian Bushranger is more likely to be a stiff opponent ahead of the match.
Suresh Raina and Murali Vijay was outstanding in their previous outing against Wayamba eleven and they will be hoping to repeat their good run of form and bat the Bushrangers out of the game. The only worry Chennai seems to be facing is the form of their big Aussie opener Mathew Hayden. He had a poor run of form in the latest edition of IPL and he has not shown real form in the first two matches. Skipper Dhoni will be hoping that his opener can find some form ahead of the semi-finals. A big match player he is, a rise in form could mean a big difference in the whole outcome of the game for the team from Chennai.
Their bowlers have been exceptional as well. With the likes of Muttiah Muralitharan, Dough Bollinger, Albie Morkel, L Balaji, the Chennai outfit surely has an upperhand ahead of the match.
Victoria Bushrangers on the other side will be banking on Aaron Finch who made a match-winning 93 off just 60 balls to guide Bushrangers home against Cental Stags. The experience duo of Brad Hodge and David Hussey have not been able to bloom as of yet, and they would be hoping to do well against Chennai.
Bushrangers have to defeat the Super Kings in order to keep themselves in hunt for the semi-finals spot.
