Bushrangers Vs Wayamba: Preview

Centurion: Victorian Bushrangers after a thrilling super over victory over Chennai Super Kings will take on Wayamba Elevens who have struggled to make an impression so far in the Champions League T20, 2010.

Wayamba Elevens have played two matches so far and have lost both the matches and have little chance to qualify for the next stage on the other hand Victorian Bushrangers have played three and won two and a win will give them a good chance to qualify for the semi-finals.

Aaron Finch for the Bushrangers has been lethal at the top of the order and he made a glorious 41 off just 17 balls against Chennai. Skipper Hussey came to light as well in their crucial tie against Chennai hitting a crucial half century to help tie the match and then hitting three sixes in the Super over to make a big difference in the final outcome for the team.

The only worry in their batting line up has been the form of their key batsman Brad Hodge who is one of the most expereinced batsman in the T20 format alongside David Hussey. The Bushrangers will be hoping that he can make a mark against a relatively weak Wayamba attack ahead of the semi-final stages.

Wayamba team as already mentioned has been struggling bg time and they are lying bottom of the Group with two straight losses. Jeevantha Kulatunga was their only positive in the batting set up in their first outing against the Warriors. But apart from his innings, no Wayamba batsmen have been able to come up with a good innings in the League so far. Their experienced batsman Mahela Jayawardene at the top of the order has failed to make a mark as well which has been a big worry for the Wayamba camp.

However, the Wayamba side will not be a cakewalk for the Bushrangers who will be looking to thrash them and get the best result in order to insure a place in the semi-finals. The Wayamba side do have some talented cricketers who represent Sri Lanka and they will be hoping that they can all click together in their clash against the Aussie champions.
