Port Elizabeth, Sep 23: The Sri Lankan team, Wayamba Elevens, who didn't win a single match in the group league of CL T20, finally won a consolidary match by crushing Central Districts by 75 runs on Sep 22.
After batting first, Wayamba gave Central Districts a target of 144. But the Kiwis were bounded within 70 runs within 15.3 overs.
Isuru Udana, the Left-arm pacer marked history by claiming hattric for the first time in T20 Champions League.
Spinner Ajantha Mendis (3/14) was also successful to bind the Kiwis within 70 runs.
After a sudden fall of wicket at the beginning, Mahela Jayawardene (20) and Mahela Udawatte (23) added scaores which took the Sri Lankans to a decent score of 144.
