The International Cricket Council's headquarters will not be shifted from Dubai.
This decision was taken by the world cricket body during a two day meeting, ending the speculations of the headquarters relocating to London.
An ICC statement after the two day's meeting stated, "The matter of relocation is now closed".
ICC Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat expressed his happiness on the decision stating that he is "personally delighted" after the matter was resolved.
"This provides welcome certainty for the staff and I am personally delighted that this matter has finally been resolved," the Gulf News quoted Lorgat saying.
The decision came as an added good news to the inauguration of the Global Cricket Academy by ICC just adjacent to the headquarters. The Academy is set up in association with Dubai Sports City.
In 2005 the ICC headquarters was shifted from Lords,London to Dubai following the refusal to grant the tax concession that the cricket body asked for.
