India takes lead in 2nd ODI against Oz

Visakhapatnam, oct 21: The air in the Visakhapatnam cricket stadium crackled with lights as India on Wednesday, Oct 20 won the second one day international cricket match against Australia.

Chasing a stiff target of 290, India started off to a bleak start by losing Shikhar Dhawan in a second ball without a single run by Australian pace bowler Clint McKay. His partner Murali Vijay soon followed him with a downfall of 15 from 18 balls.

However, Virat Kohli changed the entire mood of the match with a flawless century of 118 runs in 121 balls as he shared two crucial partnerships with Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina to put Indian on course for a magnificent win.

Suresh Raina made a brilliant knock of 71 for just 47 balls while Yuvraj Singh  added the runs of 58 from 87 balls. Kohli was named as Man of the Match.

Though there were some nervous moment at the end when India lost Kohli and skipper MS Dhoni but Raina steadied the nerves along with Saurabh Tiwary helped India to take an unshakable 1-0 lead in three match series.
