NZC warns Kiwis about performance

Wellington, Oct 22: The New Zealand Cricket board held a meeting with New Zealand cricket team captain Daniel Vettori, coach Mark Greatbatch and director Roger Mortimer and ordered the team to perform well in the upcoming India tour.

Recently, New Zealand Cricket faced humiliating after loosing the series against Bangladesh.

The New Zealand Cricket board chairman Chris Moller, said the board had decided against taking immediate action because next month"s Indian tour was imminent.

"The players, especially the batsmen, need to step up and perform and prove what the team is capable of," the New Zealand Herald quoted Moller, as saying.

New Zealand Cricket also announced the formation of a committee to review the structure of the game in New Zealand.
