Fatorda, Oct 24: The final ODI match between India and Australia in Goa has been abandoned after conditions continued to remain wet. However, India clinched the three-match series 1-0.
On-field umpires Billy Bowden and Amish Saheba, accompanied by International Cricket Council (ICC) match referee Chris Broad, had an inspection of the entire Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium ground, before calling it off.
The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) said that it would refund the money paid by fans.
Earlier, on Saturday, Oct 23, Dhoni said, "In the match India will focus on improving its bowling at the death-the last ten overs."
"The last ten overs have always been a big concern for us. It's not a worry we have had (only) over the last two or three months. We have been bothered by the last ten overs for a long time now - one to one-and-a-half years," Dhoni said.
