Siddle, Trott leap in ICC rankings

Sydney, Dec 31: Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle and England batsman Jonathan Trott are the biggest movers in the latest Test player rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Siddle, Australia"s leading Ashes wicket taker with 13 scalps, has jumped up six places to sit in 11th spot, while Trott"s outstanding return of 445 runs at an average of 111.25 in four Tests against Australia has catapulted him up seven places into third spot on the list.

England opening batsman Alistair Cook also earned a career-highest ranking of 13th, moving up one spot after scoring 577 runs in six innings at an average of 115.40.

Only middle-order batsman Michael Hussey figures in the top 10 batsmen for Australia, Fox Sports reports.

The 35-year-old is currently ranked 10, sliding four spots down.

Mitchell Johnson remains Australia"s best bowler despite dropping three places to seventh spot.

Australian batsmen Shane Watson (ranked 15th), Michael Clarke (24) and Ricky Ponting (29) have all taken a dive in the rankings.
