IPL Auction- 2nd session

Its a 30-minute break now. After some frenetic bidding, its time now to take a breath. See you on the other side of the break.

James Franklin will turn up in Mumbai Indians colour after being bought for Rs 46 lakh.

West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is now a Chennai Super King after being bagged for Rs 92 lakh. Aussie Steven Smith goes to Kochi for the same amount of Rs 92 lakh.

Abhisek Nayar who has all along been playing for the Mumbai Indians has gone to Kings XI Punjab for a whopping Rs 3.68 crore.

Stuart Broad will don Kings XI Punjab gear after being bought for Rs 1.84 crore.

Luke Wright has remained unsold. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan will be out in KKR colours after being bought for Rs 1.95 crore.

Ravindra Jadeja who came into prominence after playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL has now gone to Team Kochi for Rs 4.37 crore.

Aussie all-rounder James Hopes is now a Delhi Daredevil after being bagged for Rs 1.61 crore. He was playing for the Kings XI Punjab.

Mumbai Indians have got South African wicket-keeper David Jacobs for Rs 87.4 lakh.

Hard luck for Matt Prior, he remains unsold. Certainly unexpected after the Ashes glory. Same for Mark Boucher. He too remains unsold.

Aussie wicket-keeper Brad Haddin joins KKR for Rs 1.49 crore while compatriot Tim Paine goes to Pune Warriors for Rs 1.24 crore.

Naman Ojha will play for the Delhi Daredevils after being bagged for Rs 1.24 Crore. All these years he was playing for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

Dinesh Karthik will move further north to Kings XI Punjab. They have got him for Rs 4.14 crore.

Wicket-keeper Wridhiman Saha will join Dhoni at CSK for Rs 46 Lakh.

Parthiv Patel will now have to shift base from CSK to Team Kochi. He is bagged for Rs 1.33 Crore.

Graham Manou also remains unsold. Some consolation boy you are sharing the space with the likes of Lara and Ganguly.

There seems to be no end to surprises or should I say shocks. Brian Lara remains unsold. A real bad-day for some legends of the game.

Another promising Aussie youngster David Warner remains with Delhi Daredevils for Rs 3.4 crore.

Kings XI Punjab have manged to get David Hussey for Rs 6.44 crore. This should be some solace after losing Saurabh Tiwary to RCB.

Saurabh Tiwary has gone to RCB for Rs 7.36 crore.

South African J P Duminy will now play for Deccan Chargers who have bought him for Rs 1.38 crore. Promising Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan has also been bought by Deccan Chargers for the same amount of Rs 1.38 crore. They both played for Mumbai Indians in the second and third season of IPL.

The surprise continues. Herschelle Gibbs and Jesse Ryder have remained unsold. Mike Hussey, who was such a vital cog in the wheels of CSK has now been bought by CSK again for Rs 1.95 crore. Fellow Aussie, Shaun Marsh has remained with Kings XI Punjab for Rs 1.84 crore.

Welcome back to the second session of the 1st day of IPL-4 auctions. After a rather surprising 1st half of the auction, it remains to be seen what the second session augurs for cricketers.

Gautam Gambhir, a very sincere and hardworking cricketer is now the highest paid cricketer in IPL and congrats because he always deserved that. Time has turned full-circle for Zaheer Khan who started his IPL career with RCB and is back again after two seasons.
