Sreesanth, Ponting have heated exchange

The firebrand Indian speedster Sreesanth's heated tongue has done it again. It has stirred up another controversy, this time by engaging in a heated exchange with Australian captain Ricky Ponting over a disputed caught behind judgement that went the latter's way.

At the end of the 10th over, Sreesanth bowled a cracker of a delivery which landed on a lenth and seamed away very late, enough to square up Ponting into a defensive poke. There was a woody sound as the ball flew through to the keeper but the umpire turned down the appeal which prompted Sreesanth to confront Ponting.

As Sreesanth was walking away from the exchange, he make the "L" or "loser" sign. Luckily, Sreesanth hasn't incurred the wrath of the authorties this time as the match he was playing in was only a warm-up game. Otherwise, a fine of some sort would have been on the cards. As though fines are enough to restrain a character like Sreesanth!

Perhaps, Ponting told Sreesanth to toe the line with the antics of his sharp tongue. But later in the match, Ponting himself "toed the line" quite literally - to be given out stumped off Harbhajan at a crucial juncture.
