"The security which is going to be in place will be almost the same as seen during World Cup''s semi-final match played here on March 30 between India and Pakistan. We are not taking any chances with security and have deployed 1200 cops," Mohali''s SSP, GPS Bhullar told PTI here today.
He said that security will be three-tier and 15 sniffer dogs of the paramilitary will also be there.
"We have also requested for one bomb disposal squad from the Army as our unit has gone to Talwandi Sabo in Bathinda for a function there tomorrow," Bhullar said, adding mounted police personnel, Quick Reaction Teams have also been deployed.
Bhullar requested general public to avoid articles like lighters, match boxes, black cloths, mirrors etc to the stadium tomorrow.
Tight security is already in place at Chandigarh''s Hotel Taj and Hotel Mountview, where Chennai and Punjab teams, respectively, are staying.
