Bangalore, May 27: Indian batting superstar Yuvraj Singh has pulled out of the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI series against the West Indies in the Carribean islands. He has become the fourth player to pull out of the squad.
Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar, M S Dhoni, Zaheer Khan had made themselves unavailable for the ODI leg of the tour to West Indies, while Virender Sehwag, was forced out due to a shoulder injury.
Meanwhile, the controversy surrounding Gautam Gambhir's participation in the Indian Premier League 2011, is getting murkier. The diminutive south-paw is most probably to be dropped from the ODI squad for the West Indies series after it was brought to the BCCI's notice that his shoulder injury may render him unfit to survive the rigours of the tour.
While the exact reason for Yuvraj's withdrawal has not been known yet, reports suggest that he has pulled out due to illness.
