Kolkata, June 3: You would be wondering what India and Chennai Super Kings captain M S Dhoni does with all the mullah he is raking in. Only a portion of it goes into expensive indulgences like his 23 motorbikes and swanky residence. The rest belongs to his passion for cricket, a passion so strong that he has actually installed a practice pitch on his property - a farmhouse in Simalia, near Ranchi.
Thus, the India and Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni plans to stay on top of his game even while on vacation. In between spending time with his family at the special location, he plans to buckle down to business and hone his skills.
A family member told a leading tabloid that Dhoni will stay in Ranchi for six days after which he will head to Mumbai for a commercial shoot.
Dhoni arrived to a hero's welcome in hometown Ranchi on Wednesday. Droves of people crowded the streets of Ranchi to catch a glimpse of their champion, who returned home after 101 long days of intense cricket.
People waved joyously and scattered flowers in his path, as Dhoni, accompanied with wife Sakshi, traveled to his Harmu Bypass home from Ranchi airport.
Sajid Khan, a corporate employee from Ranchi, couldn't conceal his excitement at being one among the myriad fans who welcomed Dhoni home. "It's a proud moment for Ranchi. Seeing the World Cup-winning skipper from so close is something I will never forget."
Meanwhile, the Jharkhand administration is also planning to felicitate Dhoni, and is planning a suitable date with him.
