London, June 26: Sparks seemed to fly when two certified sporting maestros met on the sidelines of the Wimbledon championship. India's most celebrated cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had the privilege of rubbing shoulders with tennis ace Roger Federer at the Royal Box of the All England Club.
The Little Master who is a self-declared Fedex fan, interacted with the 16-time Grand Slam victor after the former World Number 1 beat David Nalbandian to progress to the fourth round of Wimbledon.
Tendulkar chatted for almost an hour with the Swiss and posed with him for photographers. Earlier Tendulkar was acknowledged with a round of rapturous applause by the audience on Centre Court.
"Spent an hour with Roger Federer chatting on the balcony of Wimbledon Royal box. What a humble guy! And by the way he knows a lot about cricket!!" Tendulkar later tweeted.
The two reportedly broke bread together after their initial meeting. Later even Federer messaged about his rendezvous with Tiny Ten.
"Today was a special day, played a good match and had the chance to catch up with the great indian cricket star Sachin Tendulkar," read the status message on his facebook page.
