India win toss, opt to bowl first

London, July 20: In one of the most hotly-anticipated Test matches ever, India have won the toss and will bowl against England at Lords shortly. Indian captain M S Dhoni said that the overcast and damp conditions prompted him to make the call.

Dhoni also mentioned that Yuvraj Singh has been passed up for Suresh Raina. Raina probably got the nod due to the fact that he scored an unbeaten century against Somerset in India's warm-up game last week, while Yuvraj scored a duck. Also Sreesanth will be warming the bench as Praveen Kumar will be coming into bowl.

A drizzle has delayed the start of play on the morning of Day 1, but overs are not likely to be cut.

Later in the match, the first-time pairing of Indian openers Gautam Gambhir and Abhinav Mukund will be tested as England's new-ball pair of James Anderson and Chris Tremlett have a go at them.
