Trent Bridge, July 29: With the last-minute announcement that Indian opener Gautam Gambhir won't be playing in the second Test due to his elbow injury, the Indian batting line-up is in for a shuffle. The new order seems likely to resemble that set up for the second innings of the Lord's Test with Rahul Dravid and Abhinav Mithun being called upon to open again.
They will most probably be followed by VVS Laxman at No. 3, Sachin Tendulkar at No. 4, Suresh Raina in fifth spot and perhaps Yuvraj Singh would be summoned to bat at No. 6. Then M S Dhoni followed by Harbhajan would transition into the tail.
However, another school of thought would say that if the opener last for 15 to 20 overs, then Yuvraj should be sent out to the middle so that he can boost the scoring rate with his natural free-flowing game. But this is all conjecture. One will have to wait and see how the great Dhoni's mind will lay-out the line-up...
