Rajkot, Oct 8: Bangladeshi eves showed discipline in both batting and bowling departments to beat Saurashtra women's cricket team by seven wickets and win the two-match practice game series 2-0.
Saurashtra skipper Shweta Dave won the toss and decided to bat first. But the hosts did not have a good start and after opener Bhakti Shastri went back to pavilion in the third over, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were all out for just 98 in 47.2 overs.
Deepa Patel was the only batswoman to resist Bangladeshi bowling, making 39 in 115 balls with one four. For the visitors, Panna Ghosh took two wickets for 15 runs, while Suktana Rehman and Shathira Jakir snapped a wicket each.
Chasing 99 runs to win, Bangladesh reached the target in the 25th over, losing only three wickets.
Opener Shathira Jakir made 36 (91balls, 5X4), while Shathira Rehman scored 18 (38balls, 3X4). Tahin Tehra remained unbeaten on 19 with three fours.
For Saurashtra, Neha Chavda, Nandita Adhiya and Shweta Dave distributed the three wickets between them.
The visitors will not fly to Sri Lanka to play practice game there for their preparation of the World Cup qualifying round.
