Bangalore, Nov 25: India can boast of rich talent and cricketers who are a part of the run fest as three Indians have already reached 10000 runs in Test cricket, joining the elite club.
Out of 7 cricketers who have joined the 10000 elite club, three of them are from India while two are from Australia and one each from West Indies and South Africa.
Untouched by age, at 38 cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid have been setting an example as they both are the highest run scorers in Test Cricket.
Little master Sunil Gavaskar, too has more than 10000 Test runs in his kitty. This trio have made India proud at the global level.
Though Sachin has missed out on his 100th ton for quite sometime now, there are plenty of reasons to smile as we talk about the master blaster. A man of records has been achieving one or the other as he plays every match.
Sachin has scored 15,180 off 183 tests which include 63 half centuries and 51 tons with a highest score of 248 not out in Tests, is the leading run scorer in the longer version of the game. In a span of 22 years, this man has achieved everything and is indeed a man of records with this 10000 runs in Test cricket being just a feather in the cap.
Dravid too, known for his meticulous style of batting, has performed extremely well since his debut in 1996 against England. Rahul Dravid has played 160 tests and scored 13,061 runs including 36 centuries and 62 half centuries making him the second highest run scorer in Tests after Sachin Tendulkar.
Sunil Gavaskar, the little master too joins the bandwagon of 10000 runs in Tests as he has scored 10,122 off 125 Test matches with 34 centuries and 45 fifties to his credit.
Apart from scoring 10000 runs in Tests, Sachin and Dravid hold the same record in the One day format too. Its a double for Sachin and Dravid as they set an example for other cricketers by achieving these feats.
