Services take first innings lead against Tripura

Services on top against Tripura

Agartala, Dec 7: Services took vital first innings lead against Tripura in the four-day Ranji Trophy Plate group match played at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Stadium here today. Chasing the home side's first innings 243, Services scored 246 for five at stumps on the second day today.

Earlier, Services lost three quick wickets for just 49 runs at start of their first innings. But, middle-order batsman Soumya Swain and Prema Balla batted patiently to ensure that their side took the vital first innings lead.

Soumya scored 60 (117 balls, 11 fours) and Prema Balla made unbeaten 85 (210 balls, 9 fours). Tripura skipper Timir Chanda bagged three wickets for 69.
