Karachi, Dec 19: Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that it will play the finals of the premier Quaid -e-Azaam trophy with a pink ball under lights on Tuesday.
Pakistan International Airlines face Zarai taraqiati in the final, to be played from Dec 20 to 24. Last year also the final was played using an orange ball. Now, Pink is widely recognised as the most suitable colour under floodlights.
The Marylebone Cricket Club, custodian of the laws of the game, has also advocated the use of a pink ball for day-night Test cricket.
Earlier this year, an English county championship match between Kent and Glamorgan was also played with a pink ball.
