Can Lata Mangeshkar revive Team India?

Bangalore, Jan 18: A couple of decades ago, when the nation was down after the Sino-Indian war in 1965, a soothing voice motivated the entire nation, which also moved the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to tears. Now, after 46 years, the entire nation is in tears having witnessed Indian cricket team's historic low. Can the famous voice render the same song again to revive the Indian cricket team?

A song that commemorates the death of Indian soldiers in the Sino-Indian war, " Aye mere watan ke logon.." was sung by Lata Mangeshkar, moved Nehru to tears. If the ever-green voice of Lata could move Nehru, can't it revive Sachin Tendulkar and the Indian cricket team which is currently under-performing, having surrendered the Border-Gavaskar trophy meekly to Australia.

The legendary singer Lata, known to be an ardent fan of cricket and especially of Tendulkar can motivate the team and boost their morale with her evergreen voice.

This is not the first time though, she has sung for Tendulkar on his birthday in the past. But the idea of singing the patriotic song 'aye mere watan ke logon..' will surely motivate the Indian cricket team which has been under-performing on foreign soil off late.

The Indian cricket team has lost 7 Test matches in a row on foreign soil which shows our beloved cash-rich pampered spoilt team's dismal show abroad. In fact their performance in England (without full strength team) and Australia (with all seniors in team) has been pathetic.

Now, to avoid another whitewash, need to motivate the team, rebuild self confidence and self esteem happens to be a tough task which might as well work if they listen to the patriotic song sung by none other than the nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar as the entire nation is in tears after witnessing Indian cricket's historic low.
