New Delhi, Feb 8: Yuvraj's mother has rubbished reports saying that the World Cup hero, who is currently undergoing treatment for germ-cell cancer in the US, is not planning to meet Lance Amstrong, the author of "Not About The Bike — My Journey Back To Life" as reported by a few media channels on Tuesday.
“No, it"s not true. Yuvi has not even spoken to Lance," Shabnam sent a message to The Telegraph from Boston, in the evening.
Earlier in the day, a TV channel had quoted Yograj, Yuvraj's father as saying that his son would be meeting Amstrong.
Yograj, in his interview to one of the leading English Channel, said "his son is being treated by the same doctor who treated Lance Amstrong" on Monday, which might be interpreted in a different way.
Amstrong, also detected with testicular cancer during 1996-1998, has authored a best seller, It's not about the bike - My journey back to life, after he bounced back after recovering completely from cancer.
His auto-biography has been an inspiration to India's stylish left-hander as he has been reading Amstrong's book, as it is not unsual for him to be engrossed in books which motivate him. A couple of years ago, he was motivated by Robin Sharma's best seller - The Monk who sold his Ferrari.
This story of Lance Amstrong is indeed going to inspire everyone, as its an auto-biography that states his journey back to life. With Yuvraj expected to be fit in 10 weeks time, such books definitely inspire and motivate the left-hander to roar the cricket field in style again.
