Warner to be rested for Sri Lanka match

Perth, Feb 9: In-form Australian batsman David Warner is likely to be rested for one-day clash against Sri Lanka on Friday, Warner could be replaced by in-form Queenslander Peter Forrest, who will make his international debut.

The left-hander was not in the one-day side a few months ago but now selectors fear he might burn out.

Either Warner, Ricky Ponting or David Hussey could make way for Forrest to play against Sri Lanka on Friday, February 10, according to 'Courier Mail'.

An impressive performance in Sheffield Shield matches scoring 581 runs, selectors were tempted to see the 26-year-old.

Meanwhile, Warner is the only Aussie to play all three formats of the game, six Tests against New Zealand and India with two centuries, and also played both Twenty20 matches last week and one one-day international.
