Bangalore, Mar 8: One of India's batting greats, Rahul Dravid is likely to announce his retirement from Test cricket on Friday.
Dravid, who had a poor Test series in Australia, is set to make an announcement on Friday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here, his home ground.
The 39-year-old former India captain will address the media along with Board of Cricket for Cricket in India's (BCCI) President, N. Srinivasan on Friday at the stadium.
He had quit from ODIs and Twenty20 Internationals during the England tour last year. He plays for Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League.
Dravid made his Test debut in 1996 at Lord's against England and has scored more than 10,000 runs in both Tests and One Day Internationals.
"The Wall" has played 164 Tests scoring 13,288 runs at an average of 52.31 with 36 hundreds. His highest score in Tests is 270 against Pakistan. He is the second highest run-getter in Test cricket behind Sachin Tendulkar. He has featured in 344 ODIs with 10,889 runs with 12 tons.
