Bangalore, Mar 12: Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) Bollywood actor-owner Shahrukh Khan came in for high praise by team's paceman Lakshmipathy Balaji.
"Shahrukh (Khan) is a wonderful ambassador. He is a very good human being, easily approachable and very enthusiastic," Balaji told Thatscricket in an exclusive interview.
The 30-year-old former India paceman played for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) before being bought by KKR. He had a good season in IPL 4 and is now looking forward to IPL 5.
Balaji said that Shahrukh connected with each and every player of KKR and was always involved with the team.
"He always connected with the players. It is always nice for players to be connected with the owner," said Balaji.
One more quality which Balaji appreciates in Shahrukh is that the actor always had encouraging words for the players when the team was not doing well.
"When the chips were down, he was always there to encourage us. He is always there in the middle of action. He is never far away from us. He is there in team meetings, in the dugout and everywhere," added Balaji.
Balaji also said Gautam Gambhir was a good captain and there was plenty of support from coaches and other officials of KKR.
"We have a good captain in Gambhir. And the coaches, officials have been very supportive to us," Balaji said.
