Yuvraj's chemo to end in four days

New Delhi, Mar 13: India's Yuvraj Singh who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for rare germ cell cancer in the US is expected to complete treatment in the next four days.

The stylish batsman has said that only four days are left for the treatment to get over. "My last stretch 4 mor dys to go Can't wait fr it to end Set me free dear lord," Yuvraj tweeted.

Towards the end of last month, he had tweeted saying the tumour has been out of his system but need to continue with the remaining schedule of the treatment.

Yuvraj, taking medication for germ cell cancer, has been in Boston since two months now and is expected to be back on field in the first week of May 2012.

The 30 year old cricketer, has gone bald after undergoing chemotherapy at a Cancer Institute in Boston.

The cricketer was inspired by Lance Amstrong, famous cyclist, who won the Tour de France title seven times, as he made a comeback after he was diagnosed with testicular cancer in the year 1996.

The cyclist's letter inspired Yuvraj, as he also thanked Lance Amstrong on his twitter profile.

The 30-year-old, who received a message from US cycling legend Lance Armstrong, whose own inspirational triumph over cancer is well-documented, wishing him a speedy recovery.

"Message from @lancearmstrong makes me feel better! Thank you lance means a lot hope we can meet," tweeted Yuvraj.

The left-hander has so far scored 8,051 runs off 274 one-day internationals and 1775 runs from 37 Tests since he made his debut in 2000.

Yuvraj scored 362 runs and grabbed 15 wickets from nine matches in the World Cup last year to be aptly named the player of the tournament.
