Kolkata, Mar 27: After impressive performances in domestic cricket, Kolkata Knight Riders' Laxmi Ratan Shukla feels talking to the team's new sports psychologist Rudi Webster will help him improve his performance in the fifth edition of IPL which gets underway in Chennai on April 4, 2012.
Talking to media persons after the practice session at Eden Gardens, Shulka said, he wanted to talk to Webster and work on how to stay for long at the crease.
"I want to talk to him about my hunger for an even better show and how I can work on my determination of staying at the crease for longer periods," Shukla said.
The middle-order batsman, heaped praise on Webster, who managed the West Indies side led by Clive Lloyd in the 1970s and said the psychologist is open-minded and can work on players' mental aspects very well.
"The best thing about him is his open-mindedness. It is good to have someone who can work on players' mental aspects".
Shulka, has impressed KKR coach Trevor Bayliss as well with his performance in the domestic season, which made him talk to the cricketer.
"After he got to know of my performance this season, he himself wanted to talk to me," said Shukla.
