Wellington, Mar 29: New Zealand skipper Ross Taylor has expressed his desire to feature in the upcoming Indian Premier League season 5 despite suffering a fractured left arm during the third Test against South Africa.
Taylor said he has not given up hope of taking up his contract with Delhi Daredevils, which is believed to be worth about 1.1 million dollars, Sport 24 reports.
Taylor was first signed by Rajasthan Royals for $1 million, but was later signed by Delhi Daredevils for IPL 5, which starts from April 4.
Taylor suffered the fracture by a delivery from pacer Morne Morkel and underwent surgery to have a pin and plate inserted in his left arm.
Taylor is likely to be ruled out of action for a month.
