London, Mar 30: Sachin Tendulkar, currently in London for a check-up of an old toe-injury met Yuvraj Singh while he was in the city, this inturn turned out to be a morale-boosting visit for the World Cup hero who is recovering from germ-cell cancer.
The cricketing legend, who recently completed a historic feat of scoring 100 international centuries, met Yuvraj who was in his friend's apartment located in the city.
The two cricketers met for an hour at the apartment while Yuvraj embraced Sachin and posed for photographs. Tendulkar wished the talented batsman a speedy recovery and get back to action on field.
Tendulkar, who left for London ahead of Rahul Dravid's felicitation also clarified that he was not aware of the event and got to know about it three days in advance while the check-up was scheduled well in advance and couldn't postpone the visit to London since it was related to his old toe-injury which needed attention.
Another cricketing legend, Anil Kumble also visited Yuvraj while he was undergoing treatement for a rare germ-cell cancer at Indianapolis. He was discharged from the hospital on Mar 18 after completing the third and final cycle of chemotherapy to recover from his illness.
He was in US since February after being diagnosed with cancer. After completing three cycles of Chemo, he is raring to get back to the field. He is expected be back on the field in the first week of May.
