ICC website also allows cricket fans to book tickets online while the buyers will have to produce a receipt confirming their purchase to redeem their match ticket at the box office. Ticket collection is scheduled to start from August 1, 2012.
There is a few limitations purchasing tickets, as each person will be allowed to buy a maximum of four tickets for the super eights, semifinals and finals and a maximum of six tickets per person for the rest of the matches.
Since the tickets for the recent Test series between Sri Lanka and England were sold at a higher price, fans of both the teams ended up fuming, which insisted the authorities to reduce the price of the ticket.
The Islanders will be facing Zimbabwe in the first match of the World T20 Tournament on September 18.
Interestingly, entry to group games of Women's World T20 championship is free, while the semi-finals and the final are played at the same venue on the same day, which means it will be covered by the same ticket.
