Jaipur, Apr 5: Medium pacer S Sreesanth would most likely miss the first three matches of Rajasthan Royals in the fifth season of the Indian Premier League.
According to the Royals' skipper Rahul Dravid, Sreesanth suffered a toe injury and is yet to recover fully to play the first few matches.
"He has still not recovered. He did bowl in the nets today but he is likely to miss first three games," Dravid said on the eve of his team's first match against Kings XI Punjab.
Due to the injury, Sreesanth was ruled out of the tour of Australia.
Even the bowler feels he could be out for a few matches. "I bowled in the nets today but it was bad. I fear, I may be out of the 3-4 matches," Sreesanth said, after his team's training session.
Besides Sreesanth, the Royals' would also miss Austrlian all-rounder Shane Watson and Dinesh Chandimal. "Shane Watson is a great player and we would certainly miss him (for the time being) but we have few young exciting players and also few experienced ones like Brad Hodge and Owais Shah," said Dravid.
