Delhi meet Chennai on Tuesday night

New Delhi, Apr 10: Delhi Daredevils have been strengthened by the arrival of Kevin Pietersen and Mahela Jayawardene. These two players should be able to turn the fortunes of their side in the coming weeks. The Virender Sehwag-led team will be up against defending champions Chennai Super Kings in Game 11 of IPL 5 here at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Tuesday night.

Delhi, after starting off on a winning note against Kolkata Knight Riders in a rain-curtailed match at the Eden Gardens, fell to Royal Challengers Bangalore. They will be hoping to bring their campaign back on track.

Jayawardene and Pietersen are key players for Delhi. Both are likely to feature in the playing XI on Tuesday night. Australian Aaron Finch will make way for Jayawardene. Finch had opened the batting with Sehwag and now the Sri Lankan captain will partner Sehwag. Glenn Maxwell or Doug Bracewell will have to sit out for Pietersen.

The hosts will be hoping for Sehwag to come good. He has been woefully out of form. His bad form with the bat has lasted for long. Since the tour of Australia with the Indian team, Sehwag of old is missing. In Bangalore, he was out for a duck, dismissed by Zaheer Khan.

South African paceman Morne Morkel has been impressive with his bounce and pace. Once again, he will carry Dehi's bowling hopes. There is also Irfan Pathan, who has been doing well with both bat and ball.

Chennai crushed Deccan Chargers by 74 runs after losing the IPL 5 opener against Mumbai Indians. The million dollar boy Ravindra Jadeja produced an all-round performance in Visakhapatnam. The left-hander took five wickets before contributing a 48.

The only concern for Chennai is Murali Vijay's form at the top of the order. He has failed in both innings. Anirudha Srikkanth is the reserve opener and they might give him a game. They are missing Australian left-hander Michael Hussey in the opener's role.
