Mumbai, Apr 9: Sachin Tendulkar is likely to miss few more games in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League as the Master Blaster tweeted the picture of his injured right finger, which was looking bad.
Mumbai Indians face Deccan Chargers in Visakhapatnam and Tendulkar is doubtful for this night game. Tendulkar sustained an injury to his right middle finger while facing Chennai Super Kings bowler Doug Bollinger. He was hit on the right glove and had to retire hurt from his batting innings. Mumbai won that game against Chennai at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on April 4.
It was the fifth ball of the ninth over of Mumbai Indians innings against Chennai. Tendulkar was on 15 at the time and faced the next ball to move to 16. But he went off the field and did not return. Tendulkar missed the team's next game at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday where they lost to Pune Warriors by 28 runs.
“Finger still not looking good. Had to aspirate blood from my finger twice in 4 days,” tweeted Tendulkar on Monday (@sachin_rt).
The picture shows Tendulkar's right middle figure which was red with blood-clot visible.
Before the start of the IPL 5, Tendulkar gave up Mumbai Indians captaincy. Harbhajan Singh is now leading the team.
"I think he is recovering very well. The way things are looking, management will take a call tomorrow. Most likely he is going to play. The response is very positive, and we are hopeful that he will play this game," Mumbai's left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha had said on Sunday evening.
"Nothing has come in the x-ray. We are hopeful he will play tomorrow," Harbhajan had said on Thursday on the eve of their match against Pune Warriors in Mumbai.
