Tendulkar might play against DC: Ojha

Vizag, Apr 9: Mumbai Indians' Pragyan Ojha has said that master blaster Sachin Tendulkar might play today's match against Deccan Chargers to be played at ACA VDCA Stadium at Vishakapatnam.

Talking to the reporters during the pre-match conference Ojha said Tendulkar might be picked for Monday's clash against Deccan Chargers as he has recovered from injury.

"I think he is recovering very well. The way things are looking, management will take a call tomorrow. Most likely he is going to play. The response is very positive, and we are hopeful that he will play this game," he said.

After hurting his finger in the IPL 5 opener against Chennai Super Kings off Doug Bollinger's delivery, Tendulkar was forced to retire hurt while he was playing on 16.

Based on Tendulkar's fitness, the management might take a decision, either pick him for the day's encounter against Deccan Chargers, or rest him for another match depending on the progress.

Pragyan Ojha, expressed his happiness after to be back in Andhra Pradeshas he has played a lot of matches here, right from his U-15 days.

Earlier a part of the Deccan Chargers side, Ojha said that no team should be taken for granted and he has high regard for the Chargers. Being a part of the side for four years now, he knows the positives and negatives of the side. He also feels that the team is very talented.

"I think it’s very important that you don’t take any team for granted. Deccan Chargers are a very good side. I was part of them for the past four years. I know the side. They are very talented. As a professional, I believe we shouldn’t be taking it easy. We should give it our best and see that we have a good game," he said when asked about Deccan Chargers.

Ojha also feels that the wicket offered at Vizag would assist spinners, and he was eagerly waiting to play at the venue.

Mumbai Indians, would like to set things right after their loss to Pune Warriors on Saturday, as they eye a win against Deccan Chargers on Monday. With Sachin Tendulkar likely to play, it will surely boost the team's confidence.
