Here are the highlights of this exciting Twenty20 encounter.

#Deccan Chargers captain Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and elected to bat first

#This was Sangakkara's first game in this year's IPL. He missed the team's first game against Chennai Super Kings as he was playing a Test against England in Sri Lanka

#Opener Shikhar Dhawan top scored with a 24-ball 41 with four 6s and two 4s

#Deccan Chargers had eight 6s in total

#Sangakkara, who was bowled by Munaf Patel, was first given not out as umpire Johan Colete of South Africa thought the ball the ricocheted off wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik's pads and then hit the stumps

#Mumbai captain Harbhajan Singh and Munaf argued with umpires and forced they to refer Sangakkara's decision and he was declared out, the right decision

#Deccan Chargers made 138/9 in 20 overs

#Munaf took four wickets for 20 runs in 4 overs

#Lasith Malinga took three wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs

#Chasing 139 for victory, Mumbai lost T Suman and Richard Levi early

#Dale Steyn was superb. He took Levi's wicket with a yorker, bowled at 147.5 kmph. It was a wicket-maiden over

#Steyn finished with figures of 3/12 in four overs

#Mumbai Indians also hit eight 6s in their innings

#Rohit Sharma sealed the match with a last-ball six off Daniel Christian

#Rohit remained unbeaten on 73 off 50 balls

#Rohit won the Man-of-the-match

#Mumbai needed 18 runs off the last over. They got 21. The last over included two sixes and a four.

#This was second win for Mumbai in three games

#Deccan lost their second match in a row

#It was for the second time in seven months that Christian was hit for a last-ball six and ended up on the losing side

#During the Champions League in October in Bangalore, Christian, playing for South Australia Redbacks, was hit for a last-ball 6 by Royal Challengers Bangalore's Arun Karthik for victory. Then, RCB needed exactly 6 to win off the final delivery at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
