New Delhi, Apr 11: Morne Morkel, who opens the bowling for South Africa is not complaining at being used as a one-change bowler by Delhi Daredevils in Indian Premier League 5.
The pacer has no issues with being a one-change bowler as the ball will be pretty new when he comes to bowl.
"I am fine with it. The ball is still pretty new and I come to bowl in the third or fourth over. It doesn't matter whether I am opening the bowling or coming as one-change. I am happy to do any job for the guys or what the captain wants," Morkel said after Delhi beat Chennai in an IPL match.
The 27 year old, focuses more on the winning recipe than giving importance to his choices and preferences.
"I believe there is no need to change the winning recipe. The current strategy is working for us. I am fine if I am given the new ball but there are two ways of attack. One should have a different gameplan for different conditions,"
The leading wicket taker for Delhi with 7 wickets in 3 games admitted that the inclusion of Kevin Pietersen and Mahela Jayawardene has bolstered the team as their 61-run partnership guided Delhi to an easy win against Chennai on Tuesday night.
Morkel, claimed two wickets against Chennai Super Kings after conceding just 19 runs off 4 overs which helped Daredevils register their second win in IPL 5 after their loss to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 20 runs on Apr 8, 2012.
Morkel is considered to be one of the best bowlers playing for Delhi, as he has the ability to get breakthroughs when required.
