Mumbai, Apr 11: Pune Warriors' Yuvraj Singh, has said that he will be at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali to cheer his team as they take on Kings XI Punjab on Thursday night in the 14th match of the IPL after winning two matches played in the season earlier.
"Yuvraj has agreed to come to the stadium to cheer the side. He was our captain last season and he is still part of this family. We congratulate him on winning his battle against cancer. He will spend some time with the players in the dressing room before the match," Sahara India Parivar's corporate communications head Abhijit Sarkar told Mid Day.
Team Sahara has organised a small programme before the match to mark Yuvraj's return to the country.
"We plan to congratulate him through a small felicitation ceremony before the match," Sarkar said.
Yuvraj Singh, India's World Cup hero, returned to India on April 9, after completing three cycles of chemotherapy in Boston, after undergoing treatment for his rare germ cell cancer at a Cancer Institute in the US.
During his first interaction with the media, he said that he wanted to cheer his IPL team during the fifth season of Indian Premier League.
