Chennai, Apr 12: The Jamaican storm is back, Chris Henry Gayle recorded the fastest fifty of IPL 5 to set the tone for Royal Challengers Bangalore as scored 205/8 against Chennai Super Kings in the 13th match of IPL 5 played at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Thursday.

Having disappointed everyone against KKR his previous IPL team, ensured that he utilised the opportunity to the maximum extent as he played a fantastic knock to reach 50 off just 27 balls, and raced to 68 off 35 deliveries before being dismissed by Jadeja in the 17th over. His innings included 2 boundaries and 6 sixes.
Gayle, hammered Suresh Raina for 21 runs in the 9th over to get to 30 off 16 balls. Alongwith Kohli, Gayle added 109 runs off just 66 balls for the second wicket to mark the highest partnership of the innings.
The highest run-scorer for RCB in the fourth edition of IPL, Gayle was considered to be the lucky mascot as RCB had won just three matches before he joined the camp in 2011 as a replacement for the injured Dirk Nannes, and went on to score 608 runs to take the team to the final of IPL 4.
With a highest score of 102 off 55 balls against KKR in IPL 4, has been the most consistent batsman for RCB as the team's batting has been exposed when the explosive batsman from Jamaica fails to deliver.
A wonderful performance by Gayle has set up the tone for RCB in season five, as everyone hope the Jamaican can overcome his tally of 608 runs as he is available for the entire season unlike last year.
