Kings XI owner's incident under scanner

New Delhi, Apr 20: Indian Premier League chief, Rajiv Shukla has said, he is awaiting a report from the match referee regarding Preity Zinta's reaction towards Shaun Marsh's controversial dismissal, during the match between Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders in Mohali on Thursday.

The actress disappointed with the decision, reacted vigorously during the strategic time-out after Shaun Marsh's dismissal.

When asked Shukla about the incident, he said that he has asked the match referee Roshan Mahanama (Sri Lanka) to give a detailed report on the incident.

"I have sought a report from the match referee on the entire issue. I will also take Preity Zinta's version on the incident," Shukla told PTI.

A controversial dismissal of Shaun Marsh triggered the incident, as Marsh was given out in a controversial manner during the 14th over of the innings. A Brett Lee delivery took an under edge to wicket-keeper Manvinder Bisla, as the man behind the stumps nodded his head and admitted that he had taken a clean catch, while Television replays suggested there was something wrong in the decision.

After the incident, Priety Zinta got agitated and apparently had an exchange of words with the match officials while skipper Adam Gilchrist intervened to calm the owner of the IPL team down after a heated conversation.
