Manama, Apr 21: India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is in Bahrain to the watch the Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday.
Yuvraj, who underwent treatment for cancer in the US, had returned to India recently. The World Cup hero has been advised rest for another few weeks before he might resume cricket training.
The left-hander interacted with fans in Bahrain's capital city, Manama, a local daily newspaper reported on Saturday.
He signed autographs for fans as he visited a resort here.
“I am well and getting better,” he told fans who wished him and asked about the cricketer's health. "I have come here to relax and be with friends. Bahrain is a great place to be in and I am looking forward to be at the Grand Prix."
Yuvraj arrived in Bahrain with his friend and Bollywood actor Rannvijay Singh. The Bahrain Grand Prix race will be held on Sunday. Yuvraj and Vijay will return to India after the race.
Yuvraj, who was Pune Warriors' captain in the last season of the Indian Premier League, had been ruled out of IPL 5. He was in the US for almost three months for his cancer treatment. He was the Man-of-the-series in 2011 World Cup, which India won in Mumbai defeating Sri Lanka on April 2.
