Jaipur, Apr 24: Royal Challengers Bangalore off-spinner KP Appanna credited spin legend Muttiah Muralitharan for his match-winning four-wicket haul against Rajasthan Royals in an IPL tie on Monday.
Appanna said he is not worried about that while Muralitharan was sitting out, he was getting the chance to represent RCB, but Appanna also said the Sri Lankan legend's valuable tips helped him a lot last night.
"He (Murali) is a great bowler and he is sitting out only because we can play only four overseas players, but his contribution is there. He always guides me. In fact, he gave tips about how to bowl on this wicket," said the 23-year-old off-spinner who guided his team to victory with his career best figures of four for 19.
The bowler said though he took four wickets, the wicket of Owais Shah was his most prized scalp.
"Though I got four wickets, Owais Shah's was the prized one. It gave me satisfaction as he has been playing so well and I could deceive him with flight," Appanna said.
