Bangalore, Apr 24: Another thrilling match is on the cards as two in-form teams Royal Challengers Bangalore and defending champions Chennai Super Kings battle it out at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore on Wednesday, April 25.

IPL 5: Schedule | Points Table | Results

Despite a slow start to the tournament, both teams have comeback to winning ways as the Royal Challengers have registered three consecutive victories while the Super Kings have won two-in-two. With their previous win, both teams clinched a total of four wins in seven games played so far earning eight points each.

But the Royal Challengers will have the upper hand considering home advantage and also eye for a revenge against their bitter rivals after losing a thriller on April 12.

Posing a world class batting line up, the Royal Challengers have been depending on hard-hitting Chris Gayle and South African AB de Villiers, while Virat Kohli has been a failure this season, scoring 129 runs at an average of 18.42 with one fifty.

RCB skipper Daniel Vettori promoted Kohli to open the innings against Rajasthan Royals, but failed once again as Gayle's dismissal was shocking leaving Tillakaratne Dilshan and de Villiers post a fourth wicket stand of 122.

RCB will be confident after Dilshan's fine innings and off-spinner KP Appanna's four-wicket haul which adds more strength to their already formidable spin attack led by skipper Vettori and spin legend Muttaih Muralitharan.

Meanwhile, the Super Kings opener Faf du Plessis holds key to their batting, scoring the second highest (302) runs in seven matches this IPL season, du Plessis' man of the match knock was crucial against Rajasthan as skipper MS Dhoni secured a win off the last ball.

Other Super Kings batsmen have made minimal contributions, but middle-order batman Suresh Raina has yet to strike big with 138 runs in seven games at an average of 19.71. Dwayne Bravo and MS Dhoni have made important contributions towards the end to push Chennai win two thrilling matches.

Chennai's strong bowling attack will be tested against Gayle force and de Villiers innovative shots. CSK pacers Doug Bollinger and Sri Lanka's Nuwan Kulasekara have been key in their bowling attack.

Both teams have the fire power to overcome each other but this could well end in another thrilling encounter as the Royal Challengers bank on home advantage while the Super Kings will be favorites after beating RCB in this year's highest scoring match.
