Under-pressure Chennai face Delhi

Chennai, May 11: Defending champions Chennai Super Kings find an uphill task of stopping table topper Delhi Daredevils at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here on Saturday night.

After a hard-fought victory in low-scoring game against Rajasthan Royals, Chennai will have to keep that momentum going to keep their chances alive of going to the play-offs.

The Game 59 of IPL 5 is a crucial one for the home team than the visitors. Delhi have almost made it to the semi-finals of the league. But Chennai are still not sure of going through to the play-offs.

Chennai are currently in fourth position (after matches completed on Thursday night). They have 13 points from as many games. With still three to play, the two-time champions will have to look to win those games.

But, the way Delhi batsmen and bowlers are performing, it looks like Virender Sehwag-led side will make it 2-0 over their rivals. In the Delhi's home game against Chennai, they had eased to eight-wicket victory on April 10.

After watching David Warner destroy Deccan Chargers bowlers with a swashbuckling unbeaten century, Chennai too are in for some rough treatment.

Delhi's batting is so formidable that you can't relax after getting one of their top order batsmen. Sehwag, Warner, Mahela Jayawardene and Naman Ojha are all capable of scoring big.

Andre Russell, who was included in the last game in place of Ross Taylor, is renowned for big hits. If he gets a chance again on Saturday, he can light up the stadium.
Delhi's pace battery includes Morne Morkel, Varun Aaron and Umesh Yadav. Though Yadav had to sit out of the previous game due to a niggle, he might return. All three can bowl consistently above the 140 kmph mark.

Chennai captain MS Dhoni admitted that his batsmen had to come good. They almost made a mess of a small total before being rescued by the lower order with Albie Morkel and Srikkanth Anirudha.

Chennai will face selection dilemma as Anirudha replaced an unwell S Badrinath in the last game. If Badrinath returns, Anirudha should keep his place and it will be better to drop the out-of-form Murali Vijay.
