Dharmashala, May 16: Time for another crunch game as Kings XI Punjab take on Super Kings in Game 66 of IPL 5 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharmashala on Thursday.
Kings XI Punjab, happy with their performance in IPL 5, as they have secured 14 points off 13 games, with three more to go. Kings XI apart from their loss to Delhi Daredevils on Tuesday, have registered three consecutive wins in their previous matches, that will boost their morale after their five wicket loss.
A balanced line-up can definitely challenge the Super Kings as they are playing their last match this season, and face a must-win situation in order to qualify for the play-offs to keep their dreams of winning the title for the third consecutive time alive.
Chennai placed fourth in the points table, are desperately in need of a win as they need two more points to stay afloat in the race for a play-off berth.
With a good team, Chennai bank on spin, needs contribution from the middle-order while Kings XI can be a dangerous side, as they have the right balance as they have been truly marvelous so far in the tournament with 7 wins, especially after the inclusion of Azhar Mahmood.
Though fixing claims has clouded IPL and has questioned the integrity of players, David Hussey would hope it doesn't affect the team's performance in the crunch match as Shalabh Srivastav, player of Kings XI was suspended for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing.
