Bangalore, Jun 28: India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh continued his training as he had 15 minutes of batting practice here at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Wednesday evening.
Yuvraj, who is aiming to regain full fitness ahead of the World Twenty20 2012 tournament in September, is training at NCA under the watchful eyes of physios and trainers.
His routine includes morning and evening training sessions at NCA, which is located in the M Chinnaswamy Stadium premises. On Wednesday, he received throwdowns and had a light batting session.
Yuvraj was seen exiting the NCA in the evening along with Virat Kohli and S Badrinath. The left-hander looked in good spirits, obliging few young fans with autographs and posing for pictures.
The 30-year-old was diagnosed with a rare germ-cell cancer between his lungs. He underwent chemotherapy in the US.
Apart from Yuvraj, Kohli and Badrinath, there are also other Indian cricketers training at the NCA. Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, RP Singh and Ishant Sharma are also here.
On Wednesday, paceman S Sreesanth too visited the NCA along with former India physio John Gloster. Both are with Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals.
Sreesanth missed IPL 5 and underwent surgeries on his toes. Gloster was here to consult on Sreesanth's progress with NCA physios Nitin Patel and Ashish Kaushik.
On Thursday, Zaheer Khan, Gautam Gambhir and Amit Mishra arrived in Bangalore. They will join their India team-mates at the NCA later in the day.
India's next tour is to Sri Lanka where they will play five One Day Internationals and a Twenty20 International. The teams for the tour will be picked on July 4.
